I agree and would add that conservatives, for some strange reason, want to make anyone and everyone into a hero that aligns with their narrow worldview. Look at all the flawed characters that GOP has put on a pedestal to only come crashing down: Bundy, Joe-not-the-Plumber, Holly Hobby Lobby, Dinesh, the Duggars, the Palins, etc, etc., etc. Conservatives on a daily screech that the “Left worships Obama”, but one thing is clear is that they will turn any character into a hero just as long as they say bad things about Democrats.

Hell look at Ben Carson’s presidential candidacy. This is a guy who clearly shouldn’t be able to run a state or represent one in Congress let alone be President but enough wingnuts think he should be president that he’s running.
