OMG. We raised horses, and gave LOTS of IM shots. We ALWAYS drew back to make sure we weren’t hitting a vessel. Every time, it was automatic. You mean they don’t do that with PEOPLE??

I’ve seen reports that the instructions were to not do that as people complain it hurts and it can leave a bruise.
