Nope. Sorry, but you’re mistaken.

He can no more order the military judge to do something in that case than he can order a federal district court judge to do something.

The chain of command doesn’t extend to courtroom proceedings. If it did, there would be no point in having judges (military or otherwise). The president could just order them to rule however he wanted.

I’m no legal expert but I have sat on a couple of courts martial and you are correct. There is to be no command interference on the legal proceedings, whatsoever.
That was always made abundantly clear.
