Actually it is because the aboriginal culture disappears. There is a big push on to preserve languages and pass on attitudes through stories, while still preparing the youth to join and contribute to the local non-aboriginal economy and culture.

It isn’t just genetics.

They have to make the culture cool.

White kids learn the haka. That’s one piece of indigenous culture which isn’t going anyplace any time soon.
