I really want the Senators to grill her about her views on the “illegitimate” 14th and 15th Amendment and “illegitimate” West Virginia. I know it’s a practice among law profs to stake out weird-ass positions to make names for themselves, but now that she’s being considered for the Supreme Court, she has to say on the record if she accepts these Amendments (and West Virginia’s validity). The 14th Amendment particularly concerns me, since it was that Amendment that grants citizenship to freed slaves and others.

Attacking the 14th amendment is part of the larger Nativist drive in the GOP, having that Nazi in the White House Stephen Miller as one of its leaders.
