I also found that cheddar or American cheese works better than peanut butter, smoosh it onto the bait tang with the warmth of your fingers. Once it has aired a bit and cooled it sticks pretty good and the mouse has to nibble and tug at it…SNAP!

I will try that…I’ve caught many mice with these old fashioned traps and never once have seen this
