Nope, they don’t even know who did it. His body was found in the Ohio river somewhere away from Pittsburgh with bruises on it. According to a contemporary account of the story I found in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette archives, he was only identified because he had some of his papers on him. We knew about the blacksmith shop for years. My dad’s parents had a photo of it at their place but we really had no idea bout the murder part. We actually have a photo of his wife in our house.
