As someone who had to deal with the paralysis this a**hole made for our everyday life in the DC region - heck, I even regularly use the Manassas, VA gas station where one of his victims was slain - I can tell you no one here seems to be against his imminent demise.

I’m miffed it has taken this long to kill this garbage. Glad we could waste tax dollars on feeding him. At least he saved us money on the trial with his “I’ll defend myself” defense play.

His sidekick is probably wishing he was being offed too. His punishment is probably worse as I am certain a few of the inmates at his prison have taken real good “care” of him…

Actually, we were remarking at work today over the extreme speed with which this went from sentencing to final disposition. Seven years is very fast, indeed, to exhaust all portions of the appeals process. In the past, it wasn’t unusual for the condemned to spend decades awaiting their execution, in many cases outliving the families of their victims. This was partly responsible for the extensive streamlining of the process that has taken place over the last ten years or so
