I just went through airport security for the first time since 9/11. Yes, seriously. We had just moved up here to be close to family so we wouldn’t have to fly to see them back in 2001, and there hasn’t been any place we wanted to vacation that required flying until now. (For me, at least.)

Wow. The whole gray-bin thing was a trip. On the way back, my daughter’s shoes were specially screened (not her, just her shoes, although I understand if they had flunked, she would have received attention.) I suppose, since she is The Princess, that glass slippers get special attention.

You should travel with my Iranian husband. They don’t put him through intensive screening. They pick on me.
