It’s not lava until it comes out of the ground. It’s not a baby until it’s born.
I am certainly pro-choice, and have never not been. But around here, when women I know were pregnant (and I never was, unfortunately), their babies were their babies at least by the time they were “showing.” Certainly by the time they were waddling! So it is semantics, but common usage is, if you are wanting that child, it is your baby.
