From the above, if I were a Muslim imam, I would allow music except where it encouraged the anti-hukm sins like zina (adultery). That’s a lot of booty rap which would not be welcome in my mosque.

But to take a Syrian apocalyptic tradition as a ban on ALL music seems like a few too many degrees of separation to me. I think the Wahhabis are going out on a limb if they are using something which even Bukhari didn’t like.
