The problem Trump has is a big one: talk radio, along with conservative pundits fucking insane people like Ann Coulter, sold the wall. In order to spin a loss as a win, he has to win talk radio over on that, whereby it will be spun by everyone else.

It is possible that he’s bringing these hosts together to try to float ideas on how to best spin this inevitable loss. He has nothing left except to threaten to fire everyone, and that’s catastrophically stupid, even for a moron like him.

It’s not that out of reach. Brian Kilmeade de facto admitted on Trump’s favorite morning show, one he watches religiously, that the shutdown isn’t working. That to me isn’t insignificant.

That would be the smart way to do it. So, that’s probably not what they’re going to do.
