It’s actually a pretty striking fact that no recent mass shooter has used an actual machine gun, considering that there are many thousands of them in civilian hands. They are not rare but the supply is limited to what was on hand in 1986 so they are quite expensive. It would seem that the evil shits who do this either don’t have that kind of money or can’t pass a serious background check or both.
