Clearly their supporters (a large percentage of Americans) don’t think for themselves beyond single issues, so why would you expect them to become better educated in the future, since they are what they are because they listen to those we talk about?

I don’t think social conservatism is going to sell even among younger conservatives. Most young conservatives I know are conservative in the economic not social sense.
