Only in mythology are the two the same: ‘Fast and Furious’ was a genuine major policy failure. It didn’t go all the way to the top, but it went far enough to be a black eye for the Department of Justice. Benghazi was, at worst, a bad decision made about security. It doesn’t represent any sort of systematic problem in the way offices were being run.
