Republicans, do it our way or we’ll take the economy over the cliffAnd if goalpost moving is a political claim, does that make Woodward a Republican? All of his reporting on this certainly seems to slant that direction.
It’s possible that he’s a Republican but he does seem to think Obama could have offered up something that the Republicans would have compromised on. I think it’s a mistake to assume that anyone with a differing opinion is an enemy agent. He was plenty tough on Bush and I don’t think all of his criticisms were valid. In today’s environment a lot of people lose perspective and it’s important to remember that not everyone else is dedicated to around the clock partisan propaganda.
