Good morning from cloudy western New York State!

Quiet this morning. Brother is off working for a few hours and my SIL is sleeping. Sat outside for a while with a cup of tea and watched birds visit the feeder and gave pets to one of the barn cats. Big difference in noise levels and types from the center of Philadelphia.

Place is quite a bit different from my last visit in the spring. My niece is off to college, so there is one less person about. The elder barn cat has disappeared (about a week ago) and since it’s a female this is probably more permanent than the male one wandering off for a few days.

And my SIL is now basically in hospice care for her cancer. Has opted to stop doing any radiation or chemo treatments. Doing traditional Chinese medicine, and some western meds to deal with symptoms, nothing more. So, with her now limited mobility she is essentially living on the first floor and not using the upstairs rooms. She also gets tired very quickly and can’t talk for any extended period.

My brother is adapting to this, but I am not surprised.
