Except it didn’t exist after hurricane Sandy in NY. There simply wasn’t roving gangs with guns terrorizing people; the murder rate in NYC metro dropped to nil, crime dropped generally, and while there was occasional reports of looting, these were isolated and sensationalized accounts.

And if there were a cyberattack that resulted in discharges from chemical plants, all the guns in the world wouldn’t matter against a cloud of toxic gas. 2,000+ people killed in Bhopal, and more than 500,000 injured after exposure to methyl isocyanate gas. Not a damned thing a gun would do under those circumstances.

Guns couldn’t save anyone after the Johnstown Flood either. Again, more than 2,000 killed in the flood where a dam gave way.
