And on a side note: Percocets are perfect for knocking me right the fuck out, it seems. Not that that’s entirely a bad thing, but almost the minute I popped ‘em, I noticed myself getting fuzzy. Lost consciousness for an hour or so, and now I’m back up and at ‘em and with less pain, to boot.

Yeah, but from what I heard, he suffered from chronic pain, so at least he was addicted for a legit reason.

Opioids are fucking scary to me, even the “tame” ones.

I was prescribed hydrocodone last year when I lost my footing on a camping trip, fell about 5-6 feet and came down on my feet, and screwed up my right knee and left ankle; I filled it and took one, but didn’t like it at all, so I toughed it out with Aleve and left the rest of the hydrocodone alone.
