The thing is, while we’ve all had that uncle or somebody like them in the family, it shouldn’t take for them getting arrested for everybody at the table to agree that something should have been done. The total lack of bravery on the part of our politicians, the willingness to do the right then even when it’s not popular, is totally lacking and that says nothing good about our Republic’s future. There is going to be somebody slicker and more disciplined who comes along after Trump is gone, and he’s going to totally wreck our shit because too many in our government are okay with that so long as they still have a job after November.

So, you call the police on that uncle that is making money under the table. The police come around, ask your relatives a bunch of questions, and they deny that he’s doing anything wrong. Now, he not only doesn’t get arrested, but you’re the one in trouble (and I don’t necessarily mean with the law). And then he makes your life hell, and your family thinks you’re just whining about him more. And even if he gets arrested, you will still be in shit. What’s to say it wasn’t your fault that he was.

We’re talking about the crappy uncle that far too many people tolerate. We’re also talking about people for whom the idea of the OK being used as a white power symbol is just your crazy idea.
