Indeed. After the vice-presidency, he recognized the largest threat facing the United States— and the world, really— and decided to try to use his political clout to do something about it. And because he has the temerity to also be engaged in the free-market attempts to do something about it, he gets lambasted.

I just don’t get it.

I want to do something about global warming, that includes selling and installing systems and services that monitor or manage energy. I have an advocacy, and I profit from it (as much as I can). I don’t see anything wrong with it and don’t hold it against Gore that he invests in green energy. He’s putting his money where his mouth is.

In fact, he should get Capitalist Cudos for it. But he won’t because of crass partisanship.
