Oh crap. I got the name of that book I HATE so much wrong. It’s not “The Gift”, it’s called “The Secret”, another one of those stupid Oprah endorsed pieces of nonsense that’s just so much bullshit. Like if bad stuff happens you had it coming and fuck you. Like you can just wish and think away bad things and if you aren’t freaking happy all the time well, then you’re asking for it. There is so much wrong with that line of thinking I can’t even begin to unpack it right now.
