Obviously Litvinenko is Putin’s work, but calling him a journalist is a stretch. Anyway, he was killed because he was seen as a traitor - omerta and all that.

Otherwise I’m not aware of any proven cases of Putin killing journalists.

And what about the guy running for something against Putin’s preferred candidate, seemed to have a lot of support, killed in Red Square on video and nobody ever caught…
