As I think about this, though - it’s yet another example of white privilege, or you could call it white Christian privilege: we’re not required to march in opposition to mass shootings by white people to prove we’re not on their side. And when someone like Dylann Roof shoots 9 black people in a church, people don’t say, “We need to monitor these white communities. People are being radicalized. The community knows who they are, believe me.”

Just as we don’t talk about self policing when it comes to serial killers even though they are over representatively straight white male. Being a majority in power means that gets ignored. No one freaked about heterosexual white dudes because of Ted Bundy.
