I went to a Republican Party meeting last night. The chairman closed with a joke:

A man is sitting in a bar in an unfamiliar town. Barack Obama comes on the TV screen, and, unable to control himself, the man exclaims, “Obama is a horse’s ass!” A fellow patron of the bar walks over to him and decks him.

The man gets up, rubs his jaw, and orders another beer. In a little while, Michelle Obama appears on the TV screen, and the man yells, “Michelle Obama is a horse’s ass too!” A third patron comes from the back of the barroom and decks him.

The man gets up, gets back on his bar stool, and asks the bartender, “I guess this is Obama Country around here, eh?” The bartender says, “No, it’s horse country.”

The joke isn’t all that funny. But it was a good meeting, with enthusiasm, record attendance, and the setting of lofty goals. We’ll work on the humor next.
