My problem is (and I’ve always been an independent; never registered in one party, except for the time between declaring which ballot I want at a primary and unenrolling at the end)
Anyway, my problem is that the Democrats are even more the party that would gut defense, and throw Israel to the Arabs (not that the Bush administrations were that great either) that I cannot support them either.

And if we end up with a one party system, we might not end up with a dictatorship, but we’ll end up with no more choice than the citizens of a dictatorship have. Well, which shade of red do you want your candidates? instead of a real choice.

And that is a big problem. I do blame the press, because I don’t see how a centrist party can get started if the news won’t cover it.
