The best reason to remember that book. Amazing world building and a not bad story but that paragraph was where the book rose above itself to become something a little bit “more” than the usual fake fluff. Rather like the end of “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress” and Manny sitting in silence waiting for MIke to (never) speak again.
