Joe Walsh, you ignorant bastard!

This is a photo of a medal my grandfather got from a German Soldier in World War II. It is a priceless family treasure and although I was already in line to receive when my grandfather passed away, he was gracious enough to let me take possession of it while he was still alive.

My grandfather was SO proud of this medal and his military service in general that he was happy to talk to everyone and anyone about it. It defined him as a person. He was a lot of things throughout his life but he NEVER stopped being a sailor or a Patriot.

And he was nothing but kind and respectful to everyone around him, even those whose viewpoints he didn’t particularly care for.

If that’s not a true hero, I don’t know what is.

Joe, you never served, you don’t understand and you’re a stupid asshole for acting so negatively towards your opponent. Bashing the military won’t gain you much sympathy with the public…which is a good thing because the sooner you get kicked out of office, the better.
