You don’t have a version-control system that you can roll back changes on?

Even if you’re just using it for yourself, I highly recommend Subversion.

There is no version control here. The fucking asshole that I inherited this position from left all kinds of stinking easter eggs in his code. Not the fun kind. The kind of artifacts that a fucking idiot leaves because he can’t code for shit. Used some kind of shareware GUI to create his web pages and I have to clean up all his poop in Dreamweaver.
