Reality is that we’ve never had sufficient supply in the States for everyone to start wearing masks at once, because nobody has stocked to that level because before this nobody wore them. And now, it’s still about getting the most effective masks into the hands of people who need them - the healthcare workers on the front lines.

We’ve got a very small stash of surgical masks here, from flying home after his flu diagnosis in December. But my mom is making some cloth masks to mail out here, so soon we’ll be able to wear stuff while running errands. (I’m saving the surgical masks for if they’re really needed.)
