I am sorry but it’s ridiculous to act like liberal values have undermined traditional values. Contrary to what many on the right believe about liberals, liberals aren’t opposed to fathers, hell I wouldn’t be the man I am if it wasn’t for my Dad. However, we do feel that just because a parent is gay or single, that doesn’t mean they can’t be a good parent. I’ve seen gay and lesbian parents. My cousin is one of them and one of my youngest brother’s good friends had parents that were too. And frankly on stuff like drug use, I’d rather have a father like my own that was open about his own experiences rather than a father who did use drugs while at the same time scarring his kids in to not using them. The other problem with social conservatism is that it’s okay with ostracizing the outsider. Note it wasn’t social liberals that were and are nasty to immigrants and others. I am sorry but I have no tolerance of conservatives who want to blame liberals for people’s problems when they have their own.
