They still need to explain how gay marriage affects the rights of straight people. Do straight couples suddenly lose all the rights and privileges that they had before gays could marry? No? Then what the fuck is the problem?

They attempted to make such an explanation here in Minnesota. They talked about how the rights of anti-homosexual people in states that had approved gay marriage were being trampled on. What they were ACTUALLY talking about was popular backlash against their increasingly unpopular opinion. They even used Chick-Fil-A as a shining example of “consequences” for those who stood up against gay marriage. Um, what.
