Most Californians I know don’t speak highly as him as governor. As for Franken, he’s also someone who went to Harvard and graduated with a degree in poli sci.

At least the Governator understands that anthropogenic climate change is a real thing, and worked then (and is working now) to try to get conservatives to understand the problem.

(My sister despised him when he was Governor of California, but she does respect his views toward science—he isn’t a wingnut who thinks God is going to fix everything.)
