Thanks, both of you. What a different a week makes. Luckily, I didn’t split for any meaningful money over the last week. I did take care of some misc stuff, but in reality, I don’t have the cash to have bailed her out of anything. And she knew that when I met her 3 months ago.

And, I don’t think she was looking for any “bailout” from me. She knew I couldn’t nor I wouldn’t. But when I started to find out all the other stuff this week, there is no way I can be close to someone like this.

It has actually made me feel dirty this week.

Chalk it up to experience. You are getting off lucky to discover all this before you get in any deeper. Maybe you can use your experience to write a play.

I apologize if I seem to be uncaring. I suspect I know how you feel. I’ve met quite a few seemingly fine people in my life who turned out to be scum. I’ve always wondered if there’s a certain percentage of bad people. Someone should do a study.

My experience has been that the more charismatic the person, the worse they will turn out to be.
