re: #30 Dark_Falcon

A lovely quote you’ve found there. Funny thing is, I live in Norway, a country where Obama would probably have been a member of the Conservative party. Our minister of Children, Integration and Equality (some portfolio) - Audun Lysbakken - represents the Socialist Left party, and he is pretty much a Marxist. Not “a Marxist” as in Tea Party newspeak, but a Marxist as in:

The most important criteria for socialism to succeed is the end of private property rights on the means of production. Meaning that the capitalists should have their companies, their offices and their factories confiscated.

(Lysbakken, 2002).

(I have to note that I was a member of the same youth movement as Lysbakken in 2001, and that I wrote some pretty hardcore socialist stuff myself, too. Yet: I left. He stayed).

In spite of having a Marxist minister and a government which by American standards would be considered rather hard left, about the only people that actually believe there are “death camps” in Norway are usually also 911 troofers, often outright anti-Semites and remarkably often fans of Ron Paul.
