It’s certainly trivial to make a fake iphone chat with someone. Just set an accomplice’s contact info to have the target’s name, and have a chat. The “evidence” screenshot just shows Schinder’s name at the top, but doesn’t show the phone # or email that is being communicated with.

Of course, since Schindler doesn’t seem to be denying it, even with so much at stake, it’s probably legit.
