Though this might be a deeply controversial assertion, the media needs to show the crime scene photos/autopsy photos of the dead (with the permission of the parents, of course).

The aftermath of firearms violence is heavily sanitized by the American media, and as a result, far too many people have a very poor idea of the consequences.

Lock up the local GQP factions in the crime scenes so they can see with their own eyes what they’re allowing to happen.
