I was in the utility business. Power companies have pretty much stopped spending money on maintenance and will only do necessary work to keep power on until they see how much this is going to cost them. So this bill will put alot of people in this line of work out of work. Add the increased cost imposed upon everyone by this bill, adding a tax burden during a recession doesn’t spur economic growth.

Like Fenway’s posts on the impact on transportation industries, this is a great illustration of the ways in which C & T will harm industries and people.

I’d like to see more criticism of C & T like this, rather than rumourmongering about the cost to the average family, or stories about selling homes.

Everytime a false criticism is raised and then debunked, it takes attention away from the real criticisms, like yours and Fenway’s.
