If you think the IRS was invasive with an income tax, and the reporting of employment taxes, just wait til they go to a tax that would require monthly or bi-weekly reporting and remittances. Administration would require more people, and auditing would require many times more.

Tax cheaters will try to cheat regardless of the tax type. Tax law is replete with examples of tax cheats for all kinds of taxes - sales and use, motor fuels, excise taxes, etc. If there’s a tax out there, someone has tried to evade it. The ways to cheat are endless too - from not remitting taxes collected (and bagging them as profit) to undercounting sales/revenues, there’s an endless variety of cheaters.

Fair Foul Tax simply shifts the tax burden on to those least able to afford it.
