Yeah, I totally omitted Nadal.
Barring this injury being a long term thing, he’s my hope for the post-Federer era. If we can get two Nadals on the court at the same time tennis will be exciting again. If the other one happens to be American, tennis will explode.

After Roddick, the US has no serious male players as far as Grand Slam winners are concerned; after the Williams sisters, the same is true on the womens’ side.

US professional tennis is at the lowest ebb it’s been in in a long long time.
