The father already knows how to handle himself in prison so I don’t think much bad shit will happen to him there. Now, the girlfriend is a different story and I foresee her having a very hard time around women who are in prison for drug crimes and who have had to give up custody of their children to family members or the state.

You could be right….but even though the father’s been in prison before, it hasn’t been for a crime against children. Lots of male prisoners, even if they’re horrible people, really hate anyone who hurts kids. That’s why the paedos are always in danger there.
