The point I drew from ED’s post was that it was not specifically about Williams, but the disturbing and loose talk about muslims in general. One example would be the (“oh no it’s not a”/) hate site Atlas S., and it’s proprietor’s call to have all muslims rounded up and deported.

there’s clearly a drumbeat of anti-muslim talk going around, and in this context williams’ “reasonable” remark amplifies the unreasonable remarks
