What conspiracy theory? The most pro-America group in Egypt is currently in control of the country. The head of the army was in Washington when this started. If we were really supporting Mubarak he would have never been allowed to fly home. Seems like its common sense that this status quo of a) content people b) pro-American control is pretty much the best case for the USG and Israel. Aka what Egypt was for the last 30 years.
