That’s my sticking point as well. Home defense I can deal with, defending a business with cause (e.g., cash, gems, precious metals, prior robberies etc) I can also deal with, but widespread carry in public for no particular reason is a model I can’t accept.
A car backfires and everybody draws weapons looking for the shooter?
Or has happened recently at a shopping mall, a metal display rack falls over and 911 calls start coming in as “shots fired”.
