Sounds good. I don’t hate Titanic like some people do but it’s merely a good movie not a great one.

From a technical point of view, Titanic is a brilliant film, and richly deserves the praise it gets for that. The story? Meh; it was, as you said, good - but not great.

I have to give Cameron a lot of credit for his directing skills - even though, by all accounts, including his own, he’s a control freak on the set. But sometimes, that’s what it takes. (I’m looking at you, ghost of Stanley Kubrick).
