The sheriff investigating the Balloon Boy incident said Sunday it was a “hoax” and a “publicity stunt” the boy’s parents hoped to parlay into a reality TV show, and promised that charges would be presented to the local district attorney’s office.

What kind of sick people think they have the right to use up all of those public emergency resources for a publicity stunt in order to get a reality show? The cost, the diverting of resources from real emergencies … what must they have been thinking about (well, they weren’t obviously).

Can’t these parents get a job like everybody else to support the family?
