Those clean beaches in Florida (and actually, Mississippi and Alabama, as well) can, I think, be taken as an indication that they are doing a fairly good job of getting that surface oil dispersed, burned or otherwise picked up.

Meanwhile, no word yet on whether the Corps of Engineers has finished their environmental impact study on sand berms and issued the permits for Louisiana to build them. Which Louisiana has already started doing, to heck with the permits. I’m not sure how much help it’s gonna be at this point, though.

Maybe they should build the berms out of school busses?
