Rodney King/LA Riots and Hurricane Katrina were both infused with racial issues. I am glad we finally have a POTUS who can communicate this. I hope he has set a precedence that will allow non-dark-skinned politicians to address the issue without being maligned.

There so much fear surrounding racial issues, Politicians see talking openly about reality in this country as a total no-no.

And, it has to stop.

We are American’s, we have to get over it and accept that we are what we are.
