Clearly, as a schoolteacher, when I tell the kids that I tolerate no racial slurs in my classroom, I have been warping their little minds, and stomping on the First Amendment, and for this I apologize. I especially apologize to the young African-American woman who, in my student teaching semester, completely disrupted my class by suddenly calling out ‘white power!’. Mika, honey, I was wrong.
