Did your CPAP machine make a difference last night?

Yes! Thanks for asking.

Woke up at 6:30, and realized that I had not had to go to the bathroom once during the night, and that not every cell in my body was screaming for more sleep immediately.

Still, I’ve been living with sleep deprivation so long that I had to take a nap later. But it’s a beginning.

I also woke up numerous times to turn over, but I do that anyway. The discomfort of wearing the nosepiece was minimal, and will grow less as time passes, I’m sure. And they even gave me one that allows me to wear reading glasses so I can continue my lifelong habit of reading myself to sleep!

They also prescribed a humidifier, so no dry mouth. And it’s a neat little machine with a carrying case for travel.

It’s an adventure in healthy somnolence. Somnium Catonis.
